Jill began to study botanical painting with Anne-Marie Evans in Rutland after retiring early from Physics teaching.  She was awarded a silver-gilt medal by the RHS (London, 2015) and has paintings in both The Prince’s Trust Highgrove and Transylvania Florilegia.   Jill has several paintings in the Florilegium Society archive, one of which was used in the Summer exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery (2025). Jill painted for the Cedric Morris Iris Florilegium, held by the Gainsborough House Museum (and exhibited there in 2024). This painting was also used in a gold medal winning entry of Morris irises at the Chelsea Flower Show (2025). Jill belongs to the Leicestershire Society of Botanical Illustrators, exhibiting regularly with them.
